Dear Kindsville Fans,
Many netizens have questions relating to the Malay race but are too shy to ask about them. Questions such as “Am I allowed to eat in front of my Muslim friends during the fasting month?”, “Are Malays allowed to touch dogs?”, “Where do Muslim females get their haircut?” anchors a point that many Singaporeans do not have a good understanding of our Muslim friends’ culture.
In the quest to generate conversations and build a better understanding of the Malay culture, SKM, together with IeatIshootIpost and The Halal Food Hunt is organising the first ever, Urban Kampong. The event aims to promote the understanding of the Malay culture and religion better and in turn, truly celebrate our multi-racial society. We’re bringing together the best satay hawkers around the island for the Ultimate Satay Master Cook-off. Participants will vote for the Best Satay meat, Best Satay sauce and determine which hawker gets the title of the Ultimate Satay Master!
