Raising the knowledge of Road Safety at Kindsville Party 2016 Jul 21, 2016

Kindsville Party is held annually to gather fans of Singa and Club Cubbies members for a day of fun-filled activities! This year, Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) worked with the Traffic Police, and held Kindsville Party at The Road Safety Community Park on Friday, 17th June 2016.

Despite the gloomy weather, more than 150 children and parents, and 30 volunteers showed up and supported the event. Each child was given a goodie bag containing a road safety sticker book, a small set of first aid kit, and an event shirt. The cheery and jovial atmosphere chased the dark clouds and rain away just in time for the Traffic Games. Children got to take the roles as pedestrian, motorists and cyclists, while learning the importance of road safety.

Besides the traffic game, there were also activity booths that allowed families to create their very own DIY Singa, Shrink Art Pieces, Pyssla Beads Art pieces and Badges! It was heartening to see the smiles on everyone faces as they were having fun with the activities.

Singa and the Kindness Cubbies even made several appearances during the activities, as well as during prize presentation. All participants were given a personalized certificate to thank them for their participation, and the top 10 percent of the children with the fastest timing and the lowest demerit points from the traffic games were presented with a Smiggle set each!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the Traffic Police for allowing us to hold the Kindsville Party at the venue. Also, to the volunteers who assisted us as marshals and at the activity booths. And finally, to the parents and children for their support.
